What's extra special about this rescue, is that they invite children and adults who also share stories of special needs or trauma, and have them heal alongside these “extra needs” animals. SIA had 6 disabled animals in need of wheelchairs, including a pig, a goat, 3 dogs, and a puppy. The Walkin' Pets Team visited the rescue and donated 6 wheelchairs to these incredible souls. SIA Founder, Jamie Wallace-Griner, says "It’s such a gift to watch the animals go from being stuck in their space, to being put in their wheels and watching that freedom come alive."
