Happy Farmer Friday! This one is a powerhouse team! Greg Morris, his lifelong friend Scott Lord and wife Sheena Lord have been farming kelp as a trio for the last five years. Scott has been fishing groundfish and lobster for years in Port Clyde, Maine, where he and Greg grew up together. Down the road, Sheena further diversified and took up oyster farming. They always put family first and you’ll often see Scott and Sheena’s son, Dylan helping out on the water. Greg fishes for pogies and lobsters and is deeply rooted in his church and community. During harvest season, Greg, Scott and Sheena often take some kelp home to have with dinner for their famous kelp lasagne. 💚🌱 Photo creds: nicole_wolf_photography 📸 #kelp #farmingforthefuture #aquacultureresearch #aquaculture #kelpfarming #maineaquaculture #maine #mainecoast #sustainability #sustainable #supportsmallbusiness #supportyourlocalfarmers #supportlocal #womenrunbusiness #womeninbusiness #seaweed
