Allow me a quick second on my soapbox (before I get to the hope part - because you know we at ASF are driven every damn day by the hope we have for a better planet :) Did you know that less than 4% of all C-Suite positions in the global seafood chain are women despite the fact that over 50% of people involved in seafood production are women? Did you know that last year LESS THAN 2% of all venture funding went to women-run businesses? Let these statistics set in for a second... I’ll wait... Now imagine a world where women are seeing equality in the seafood industry and where female entrepreneurs and leaders are funded to make their ideas into realities. What would happen then?
