Every year, thousands and thousands of black cats (and black dogs) face a heartbreaking fate in shelters across the country. Despite being just as loving, playful, and loyal as their colorful counterparts, they are the least adopted and most frequently euthanized. Shocking statistics show that about 74.6% of black cats in shelters are at risk of being put down due to low adoption rates.
