The one recipe I look forward to more than any other the *entire* year: ✨homemade potato latkes!✨ I’ve partnered with crateandbarrel to share my family’s epic recipe which, by the way, is going to make you the star of any holiday party!
I’ve been making potato pancakes for decades and, as such, have a few tips to take your latke game to the next level:
1. Pan fry in a neutral oil! This is non-negotiable.
2. Use just enough binder to hold the potato mixture together.
3. Lightly press down on the potatoes once added to oil to keep them thin, light, and crispy.
4. Don’t rush the process – you want the oil to remain at medium heat to ensure even cooking.
5. After transferring to a wire rack, immediately sprinkle with kosher salt.
And while not necessary, I’m also going to recommend that you make them into bite-size mini latkes which are beyond perfect with a dollop of sour cream, a little caviar, and thinly sliced chives. Hanukkah has never looked so good! The perfect holiday party bite...
