Bring your Easter basket filled with sweetbreads, meats, and desserts for the Blessing of the Easter Food on Holy Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Gymnasium. Centuries ago families prepared lavish meals to use up ingredients before the Lenten fast. On Holy Saturday they brought these foods to church for a blessing, celebrating the end of the fat with a holy meal. Now we continue this tradition to honor the sacrifices of Lent and celebrate the Risen Lord. Come Share this special moment with your parish family as we end our fast together.
