No. 17 Vanderbilt stunned No. 10 LSU 31–24 in Nashville, snapping a 10-game losing streak against the Tigers and earning its first win in the series since 1990.
Quarterback Diego Pavia led the way with 160 passing yards, one touchdown, and 86 rushing yards with two scores. Vanderbilt’s efficient offense, ranked seventh nationally, stayed hot against an LSU defense that had allowed just 11.8 points per game.
Jayden McGowan added a receiving TD, and Zaylin Wood’s late sack sealed the upset. LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns, but Vanderbilt’s balanced attack and poise delivered one of its biggest wins in decades.
