Public transportation was essential to the success and size of the ‘No Kings Day’ protests this weekend, allowing tens of thousands of people to join in protest of President Donald Trump’s administration.
While BART trains this Monday are filled with people on their way to work, stations across the Bay Area Saturday were brimming with signs, costumes and determined faces. The result was an odd contrast of drab commuter train cars and extravagant displays of patriotism and protest.
As public transit brought people to demonstrations, Daily Cal photographers rode BART trains and buses with protesters to document their movement through the Bay Area.
