#SponsoredByGSK As a mom, I’m always striving to stay informed about my children’s health and know the right questions to ask their doctors. For example, at 16, Ryder is part of an age group (16- to 23-year-olds) at an increased risk for contracting meningococcal disease, known as meningitis, which can spread through certain everyday activities like sharing drinks, close contact, or coughing and sneezing – things that teenagers like Ryder are doing. While many teens and young adults have received vaccination to help protect against meningitis serogroups A, C, W, and Y, they may still miss vaccination for meningitis B. While meningitis is uncommon, it is a serious illness that can be potentially fatal – which is why it is so important we take steps to help protect against this disease.  While there is no script for parenting, the more we know, the more we can help protect our teens. At their next appointment, make sure to #Ask2BSure about their risk and meningitis vaccination options....
