Our second GBA #studentathletespotlight is gba_mizzou ‘s Mason Close. Throughout his first season in the GBA, Mason led beta_mizzou to an impressive 8-2 regular season record, reached as high as 7 in the national rankings, and was in the running for the NPOY award. “I’m really glad the GBA expanded to Mizzou. My first year was a lot of fun, and it’s clear that there is still a lot of good competition. It gives athletes another opportunity to play in a real game atmosphere.” Mason hopes to lead Beta to a GBA championship and punch a ticket to Memphis this November.
