Perspective is everything.
We develop our perspectives from where we stand. It's how we learn to identify people, issues, etc. Our perspectives can change as we move around and learn more about what we see.
But the most interesting thing about perspective is that it's not simply how you view things. Your perspective also shows who you are. Someone who jumps to conclusions, who doesn’t spend time surveying a scene or situation, is often ignored by those who don't share a similar perspective.
But someone who sees a wider picture, recognizes their blindspots, and acknowledges the depth of field (however deep their perspective is) will have more meaningful conversations than anyone else.
As much as we can adjust our perspective ourselves, we can only discover so much without the help of others. These meaningful conversations we have with others help us identify parts of a scene we may not recognize and view things from a vantage point we didn’t think was possible.
