🚨​​​ New report: Big Meat and Dairy are roasting the planet 🥩​🌡️ A new investigation by Greenpeace Nordic, wearefoodrise, foe_us and iatp_ exposes the colossal climate footprint of the world’s meat and dairy giants. Their emissions now rival Big Oil. Five meat companies – JBS, Marfrig, Tyson, Minerva and Cargill – combined emit more greenhouse gases than Chevron, Shell or BP. Around 80% of these emissions come from cattle. While science calls for reducing livestock emissions, Big Meat and Dairy are expanding fast. The world’s biggest meat empire, JBS, plans to grow 70% by 2050 while walking back its climate commitments. The climate crisis demands accountability from Big Ag, just as it does from Big Oil.
