LIONS FALL TO MONARCHS IN BATTLE: The jserra.girlstennis team put forth a valiant effort in their Trinity League showdown with Mater Dei on Monday, but the Monarchs prevailed by a score of 11-7 at JSerra Catholic High School. The Lions are now 14-3 overall and 3-1 in league. JSerra claimed five of nine sets in doubles action. Sophomore Dylan Henderson and sophomore Julianna Johnson produced two victories by identical scores of 6-4 and 6-4. Freshman Paisley Crutchfield and junior Naomi Clarke also took home dual triumphs, winning by scores of 7-5 and 6-1. Sophomores Ava Levitanus and Milana Leffler produced a set win of 6-1.
