Dad and I checked out the pre-opening of Dirty Pepperoni, a new pizzeria in downtown Long Beach that, if I remember right, officially opens to the public today. We were greeted by Michael Uriarte, who welcomed us in, and also had a chance to meet his business partner Tod Somerville. Michael went on to tell us about another one of their ventures, Dirtbags California, a custom motorcycle shop that not only builds incredible bikes but also gives back by teaching trade skills and creating real opportunities for people in the community. Everyone at Dirty Pepperoni was welcoming, and the pizza was fantastic.
