Went out to cover the No Kings protest in Denver on Saturday for thecuindependent It started out calm with a few interviews and the main walking protest which shut down roads in Denver. Towards the end, there was someone who opposed the protest and was trying to get a reaction out of the protesters. In slide 2 he brandished a knife which caused other protesters to think it was a gun. He allegedly pulled the knife and threatened another protester before this video was taken. He later said multiple times “I got a gun. I have a gun.” According to another reporter he was tackled and arrested by armed police once he was off the path of the protest. After most of the main protests had gotten back to the capital, there was a smaller protest that started walking towards the highway.
