Steam may owe you over $1,000 dollars. This is a MASSIVE class action lawsuit that’s brewing and it honestly looks a lot like some of the other lawsuits against big gaming platforms. The giant PlayStation store and Apple lawsuits for example. It’s a pretty interesting time in that any major platform that’s charging a decent size commission (around 30% for some of the ones mentioned here) seems like it could be a target for these lawsuits. It’s only a good thing for you and me though because if those fees come down on devs, theoretically game prices should come down too? (Or at least not go up any more 🤞).
