Our family climbed Mt. Katahdin this week! The hardest part of scaling this 5,200 foot beast? Not killing each other on the 8 hour drive in the.chrisrobbins truck to get there! š
It was an absolute thrill to check this peak off the bucket list with our 3 kids.
One of the coolest things about Mt. Katahdin is the fact that it is the end of the Appalachian Trail. We got to meet three different āthru hikersā who were completing the 2,190 mile trail that same morning we were climbing.
One of the hikers had been hiking for 172 days. The other two had chipped away at the sections of the trail year after year and āafter 45 years were realizing a dream of completing the trailā¦ā Cue the tears!
I of course asked them what they learned about life from being on the trail⦠Hereās what they said:
1. If you keep moving forward for long enough good things always come (good people, good weather, good views, good luck)
2. You carry your baggage with you
3. Nature is the original healer
4. Itās neve...
