Many were renting from landlords who hadn’t paid their property taxes, risking losing their homes. Thanks to Make It Home, these families are now owners, putting down roots and securing their future. Since 2017, over 1,700 Detroit families have made the leap from renter to homeowner proof that a brighter, more stable Detroit is within reach.
