Celebrate 100 years of BMW Art Car Artist Robert Rauschenberg šŸŽ‚ In 1986, Rauschenberg used his signature ā€œCombine Paintingā€ style, a collage technique integrating real objects and photographs with abstract painting. Rauschenberg also paid homage to Bronzino and Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres by skillfully manipulating their paintings using photographic techniques. The hub caps were made using photographs of antique plates. Today, Rauschenberg is remembered as a key figure of the American pop art movement. In honor of Rauschenberg's centennial, you can also remember the #BMWArtCar artist via his long-time collaborator Gemini G.E.L. in Los Angeles and explore his powerful legacy of technical innovation and artistic freedom. šŸ“ø: 1,2, & 5.
