B A D L A N D S 1 0 // jacktheradiomusic’s album #Badlands turned ten and I’m looking back at some special moments. I’d always dreamed of writing and singing a duet and that moment magically found its place on this record among some of JTR’s heaviest hitting big rock songs, slide guitar, and synthesizers. I approached writing the song with this idea of a couple growing apart where each verse was them individually recognizing the situation, and the third and final verse was the two together acknowledging the end. I was a big fan of elizabethjanesings of deltarae amazing voice and in the spirit of dreaming big I reached out. At the time they were signed to Warner Bros. Records and were playing festivals like Lollapalooza and Farm Aid.
