Moot Court is a club/team where students dress up and pretend to be lawyers. ⚖️ It's a simulation of an appeals court (like the Supreme Court), where the facts have already been established and lawyers are arguing questions about what the law means and how it applies to the given facts. It's all part of a program called the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, which is run through chapters in different states. This week, the DJDS High School Moot Court team visited the Ralph Carr Judicial Center to watch oral arguments in the Colorado Supreme Court. The trip is an annual tradition for a team that has won top honors at state and national tournaments since its inception.
