Empowering the next generation of female tradespeople! Our Tools for the Trades™ 2025 Track Day at Sons of Speed brought together 50 ambitious female shop class students from Volusia County Schools. During this special event, students gained firsthand insight into how their passion for hands-on work could transform into rewarding careers in the trades. Students met with successful and inspiring female industry leaders including Dystany Spurlock, Jody Perewitz, Shelly Rossmeyer Pepe, and Marilyn Stemp to learn about their career paths, and even worked on a vintage 1930s motorcycle trackside with Sons of Speed founder Billy Lane.
