You can start by watching movies like “Ruby Bridges” on @disneyplus — the story of the first African American to attend an all white school in the south. In this clip- white Americans protested her walking into the school. The kids were sad to see this reality, and if you question if they are too young to learn about this - I’ll remind you that Ruby was 6 when this happened...if she can live it, they can see it. We watched together, they asked questions; we answered what we knew, and found resources to support what we didn’t know.
