As a teacher, back to school week was always so stressful for me. And after becoming a mom, I had too much on my own plate; I could not halt my teacher anxiety to be present for my own kids. I know this is the reality for many educators who spread themselves thin between showing up for their students and their families every school year. Teaching is hardly just a profession; it is a calling. Yet I’ve been called in this season to explore opportunities outside of the classroom, and I’m doing so whole heartedly knowing my skills as a teacher will never fail me as I work to build my community here 🫶 Today was special as I embraced this moment with my little guys.
