Teacher PSA! This only happened to me ONCE, and it felt awful. I’ll never forget it😩. I value strong communication and collaboration with my parents, but it’s a two way street; often with the parent (unknowing or not) holding more strength in the exchange than they are aware of. Teachers are often told we are in the “service industry” and this so flawed. This insinuates students and families are our “customers,” when in reality, the success of a child is fully based upon multiple contributors. If you have a problem with the teacher, go directly to them. If the problem escalates beyond what you believe the teacher is able to control, involve admin or counselors. #teacherpsa #teachertalk #parenting #middleschoolteacher
