NFL commissioner Roger Goodell commented on Bad Bunny’s international appeal and the inevitable controversy that comes with headlining a show that has millions of people tuning in: “He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world… It’s an important element to the entertainment value” Goodell said at the meeting. “I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism. It’s pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching.” This comes after a Change.org petition calling for the NFL to replace Bad Bunny with George Strait received over 79,900 signatures.
