Cashier lines were longer than usual at Sampar’s in Cross Roads, Kingston, as shoppers picked up groceries ahead of Tropical Storm Melissa. Many, however, said they weren’t storm shopping, just doing their regular end-of-month restock. One shopper shared,“Mi nuh really a buy fi the storm, just buying groceries. It just so happen now you haffi buy more dry food just in case the storm come.” She added that she’s been keeping an eye out and is prepared if it does hit.
