Don Broco, When We Were Young 2025 REVIEW: Mayhem translates no matter where in the world you unleash it, and this is a fact that Don Broco have thrived on throughout their career. And with this being their first appearance in the States for two years, you can tell they are looking to update their credentials in style. ‘Everybody’ and ‘Gumshield’ continue to be guaranteed dynamite, the latter conjuring no less than four chaotic pits, whilst the euphoric release of thousands of patrons bellowing, “Yippee-Ki-Yay, Motherfucker” during a rambunctious ‘Bruce Willis’ is sweet as it gets. The fact that such British charm and infectious quips (The question “Have you got the minerals?” at the heart of a glorious ‘Cellophane’ a perfect example) resonates as profoundly as it does so far from home is a credit to just how undeniable the band’s output is, further cemented by the number of t-shirts already been waved around heads before ‘T-Shirt Song’ has even kicked into life.
