Chappell Roan has launched The Midwest Princess Project, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to supporting trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities through “action, care, and connection.”
So far, the project has raised over $400,000 with combined efforts from Roan’s sold-out “Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things” pop-up shows across New York, Los Angeles, and Kansas City.
A dollar from every ticket sold from the 8-date run will go to organizations like the Ali Forney Center, TransLatin@ Coalition, and The GLO Center, among others — all of which provide vital resources for trans youth.
“I am so excited to announce The Midwest Princess Project!” Roan wrote in a post to her Instagram. “These funds will be donated to incredible organizations making a positive impact for trans youth in their communities.”
