Each spring, the @asu_alumni Association hosts the #ASUFounders’ Day celebration honoring the individuals who exemplify the spirit of the founders of the university’s predecessor, the Tempe Normal School. ⁣⁣ ⁣ The award ceremony began in the 1960’s and is celebrated annually to commemorate the anniversary of when the Tempe Normal School (now ASU) received its charter from the Thirteenth Territorial Legislature.⁣ ⁣ On Thursday, March 17, @asuprescrow and the Alumni Association will be at the Arizona Biltmore to recognize the legacy and innovation of distinguished ASU faculty, alumni and philanthropists. ⁣ ⁣ This year's honorees:⁣ ⁣ • Faculty Teaching Achievement Award: Mark Jacobs, Dean @barretthonors. • Faculty Service Achievement Award: Ramon Arrowsmith, Associate Director of Operations @earthspaceexplorationasu. ⁣ • Faculty Research Achievement Award: Efrem Lim, virologist and assistant professor @asu_sols, @asubiodesign.⁣ • Alumni Achievement Award: Dr. Michelle Tom, ’99 BS.⁣ ...
