This #NationalProBonoWeek, we’re celebrating the students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community partners who bring Penn Carey Law’s commitment to service to life every day. 💙 For more than 30 years, Penn Carey Law has been at the forefront of the pro bono movement—one of the first law schools to establish a graduation requirement and still the largest in the nation. Every JD student completes 70+ hours of pro bono work before graduation. In 2024–25 alone, our students contributed nearly 62,000 hours of service through clinics and pro bono projects—from supporting veterans in Philadelphia to partnering with the University of Ghana School of Law to advance agricultural workers’ rights.
