#ASUEverywhere to highlight the virtual field trips available through ASU for You so you can explore the world and continue learning from the comfort of home. 👩💻👨💻
Today we’re off to explore the rainforests of Panama. 🗺
Barro Colorado Isle is located in the man-made Gatun Lake in the middle of the Panama Canal. On this field trip, you’ll go inside the rainforest canopy to learn about its biodiversity.
During this field trip you will:
🐸 See a frog jump in slow motion and learn about epiphytes — plants that grow on trees.
📸 Explore the upper canopy through a combination of photography and video.
🦜 Learn about the birds, bats and sloths that call the rainforest home.
🌴 Hear from biologists, entomologists and more as they explore topics that include reproduction and the carbon cycle.
