@asupublicservice event last year. The two tech enthusiasts bonded over their passion for sparking girls’ interest in
#STEM careers. And just like that, a conversation over tacos ignited an impactful outreach initiative that would span more than 9,000 miles.
Last year, Christina traveled to Kenya to work with Janet at a private girls school in that country. Christina brought the
#ASU design-thinking course techniques she teaches for
@asu.git and translated them for a high school app-building boot camp. The girls ideated on apps that could solve local problems. Some focused on different forms of corruption, which is something that affects their daily lives.
