Although I’m in a season that “forces” me to rest, I still find it hard to do so. Life doesn’t stop & I still have a handful of personal goals I want to accomplish. Lately, God has been gently reminding me of the importance of rest despite the work that still needs to be done— both at home & internally🍃🍂 • I shared in my stories last week about how God has not only been emphasizing the importance of rest for my physical & mental health, but also how rest can be/is actually productive. This was confirmed by this Sunday’s sermon where our pastor emphasized how our resting is a demonstration of our trust in God’s provision. I felt like God was giving me a huge hug with how He confirmed that Word to me personally. • Not only has resting made me more productive because I’m able to pace myself & focus on incremental goals, but it’s also forced me to remember WHO is ultimately in control & WHO actually produces fruit in my life.
