Nolan’s very first movie theater experience and we watched Lilo & Stitch 🌺💙! I had no idea how he’d react, but I definitely didn’t expect him to sit through the whole movie. I came fully prepared with his iPad, headphones, snacks, a blanket, and some toys. I also made sure to book seats in a theater that wasn’t too crowded. I know there are sensory friendly showings, but I wanted him to try it on a regular day. And to my surprise, he mostly sat through it all! He stimmed, babbled a bit, and played with the seat buttons (of course 😂). He got to a point where he didn’t want to wear the headphones so he was covering his ears. We stepped out for about 10 minutes to grab some food, and he got a little jumping in (his favorite)! After that, we settled back in and watched the rest of the movie together. I didn’t even have to take out the iPad! I’m just so glad we got to experience our first movie together 🥹💙 it’s a memory I’ll always hold close. Overall it was a great experience, and ...
