I was so afraid to send my son to school and honestly, no matter what grade he’s in, I’ll probably always carry that fear. But at his preschool graduation, all I felt was joy watching how far he’s come. He started school having never been in daycare or a classroom setting. He’s non-speaking and Autistic, so of course I was nervous. But now, after a full year, he’s singing songs, mimicking, exploring independence, and learning how to play with other kids.
