⭐ PHONICS ⭐️ Yesterday, I went into my daughters nursery to do a little phonics session with the school starters. It was ADORABLE and so many kids already knew some of the letter names and sounds. BUT… I did hear LOTS OF SCHWA SOUNDS! Adding a schwa to the end of sounds is very common but makes sounding and blending difficult - children can’t hear the word when you have blended it so it slows down the process.
