In 2016, six youth activists, Young Friends of the Earth Norway, and greenpeacenordic took the Norwegian government to court to stop new Arctic oil drilling.⁣ ⁣ The case landed in the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), and for the first time, the Court is being asked to decide whether a government’s decision to expand its oil and gas production violates human rights: the rights to life, to health, and to a safe environment. ⁣ ⁣ We will find out the decision next week, 28 October. ⁣ ⁣ Read their near 10 year journey so far via link in bio.⁣ ⁣ #Greenpeace #Norway #FossilFuel #ClimateChange
