LIONS CONTINUE UNDEFEATED ROLL: The jserra.hockey team extended its undefeated streak to eight games to start the season with two victories this weekend. The Lions took to the ice on Friday and produced a 10-2 victory over Capistrano United at Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena in Irvine. Junior Emmet Murphy scored twice in the opening period, while senior Cassius Millett also added a goal to stake the Lions to 3-0 lead. Freshman Kyle Bennett recorded a hat tick in the second period, while junior Griffin Blake and freshman Luke Chumo also scored goals to help JSerra break open the game. Senior George Joseph added two third period goals. The Lions took to the road on Saturday and produced a 5-3 triumph over Central Cathedral at the San Diego Ice Arena in San Diego.
