Are American Farmers going EXTINCT? Let look at the numbers…. Just in the last 100 years we’ve lost over ten million farmers and half the amount of farmers. Go back to the founding of this country and 90-95% of the population farmed in some way. Today that number is down to only 1.3 % of the population with less than 3.5 million farmers in the U.S. I’m not saying that farmers as a species will be extinct, but the occupation and lifestyle as we know it is following a dangerous trend.
