Li Chenggang, China’s international trade representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, said that after two days of discussions in Malaysia, China and the US have reached a basic consensus on arrangements to address each other’s trade concerns.
Talks covered a wide range of issues — from export controls and reciprocal tariffs to fentanyl-related cooperation, trade expansion, and US Section 301 vessel fees.
Both sides engaged in constructive dialogue and explored practical ways to manage differences.
