It takes a VILLAGE….so I’m sharing some teen/tween and young adult skincare solutions that worked for our family, following a doctor’s recommendation. Skin can be such a source of insecurity for so many so hopefully this may help. (You can comment “links” for the product list.)
For early onset teen acne or menstrual cycle type acne, we have seen results with this combo:
1. Cetaphil Face Wash for daily washing
2. DermaZinc Bar Soap every 2-3 days. This is an antifungal, antimicrobial and antifungal that treats a lot of skin conditions.
3. Differin Gel. This used to be a prescription and now OTC. Used a pea sized amount at night all over the face.
4. CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion. Since Differin can make the skin sensitive to the sun, a daily SPF is recommended. (MIneral sunscreen for beach type sun.)
5. Panoxyl for body acne. (Jack used this in high school. Good for athletes.)
