I did a podcast this morning with @moirakucaba and I realized that most of my adult life has been proving, "YES I CAN." As a single mother, I didn't know how I would make it. I worked three jobs with two toddlers.. but I baby stepped it out. When I wanted a career change, I was told it would be difficult to work in sports as a woman... but I got a job with a sports media company and with the MLB. When I tried to date as a single mother, I was told no one would want me and I believed that when someone said to me, "You'd be a no brainer if you didn't have kids"... but I met Nolan. When I lost babies and buried a stillborn daughter, I didn't know if I could have more children or another c-section. I took photos after baby 5 saying, "We're done"..... but I went on to have three more children and a total of 5 c-sections. When we went to adopt, agencies told us that no birth mother would select us because we had kids... but our birth mother was one of eight and wanted a big family ...
