PSA: Not every storm you’re going through in life is your fault. Sometimes, you just have the wrong person around you. But sometimes, you are that wrong person. I heard this and couldn’t shake it. Not every storm in your life is about you. Sometimes the chaos is a consequence of not listening to what you’ve been called to do in life, or being around someone who’s not in alignment with their calling. There’s a story in scripture where a man named Jonah ran from God’s instruction, got on a boat, and brought a storm that nearly drowned everyone on it. Not because they were wrong. Because they were in the wrong company. So ask yourself: Are you bringing the storm Or are you standing too close to one who is?
