Cities and Towns Week Spotlight: Public Works 🚧 Our Public Works Department staff of 32 employees keeps Apache Junction running smoothly and safely. From road maintenance, engineering, maintaining every City building, maintaining the entire City vehicle and equipment fleet, traffic signals and street lights, sidewalks, the thousands of street signs, storm and emergency response, street sweeping, storm drain maintenance, to alley management, their work impacts every part of our community. They are on call 24/7/365 as emergency responders and also lead programs like Household Hazardous Waste Day and Adopt a Road, helping keep our city clean and vibrant.
