BUSTED: Former LSU, Georgia, and Nebraska tight end Arik Gilbert has been arrested for the third time.
The former five-star TE was arrested for the first time back in August of 2023 after burglarizing a liquor and vape store in Nebraska, resulting in him ultimately being kicked off the Huskers.
In January of 2024, Gilbert pleaded no contest to the charges and was fined $400, along with being ordered to pay an additional $450 in restitution to the store.
In September of 2023—less than a month after his initial arrest—Gilbert was arrested once again in Lumpkin County, Georgia, for the smash-and-grab robbery of 150 vapes.
On October 22, 2025, Gilbert, who is currently listed as a redshirt sophomore on the Savannah State University Tigers (NCAA Division 2), was for the third time on misdemeanor charges of “Theft by Shoplifting” and “Obstruction.” His bond is currently set at $3500.
