Drones Catch Fire Mid-Show, Sparks Rain on Crowd in China⁠ ⁠ 🎆 A drone and fireworks show in Liuyang, China, turned into a fiery disaster when several drones malfunctioned mid-air and caught fire, sending burning fragments raining onto the crowd below.⁠ ⁠ The October 2 event, part of the “October: The Sound of Blooming Flowers” celebration at the Sky Theatre, was supposed to dazzle audiences with a 3D spectacle over land and water. Instead, dozens of drones suddenly fell from the sky, sparking flames and panic. Spectators were seen using chairs to shield themselves from the falling debris while others ran for cover.⁠ ⁠ Officials said no injuries were reported and cited dry weather as a possible factor.
