This squid ink pasta proves Halloween dinner can be moody, mysterious, and totally grown-up… just don’t forget the wine. 🦑🍷 Serves: 2 | Time: 20 minutes Ingredients: • 8 oz store-bought squid ink pasta (spaghetti or linguine) • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil • 2 cloves garlic, minced • 1 small shallot, finely chopped • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (plus more for garnish) • ½ lb fresh calamari (rings and tentacles) • ¼ cup dry white wine • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper Instructions: Boil squid ink pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic, shallot, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1–2 minutes, just until fragrant.
