🤖 The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has been remarkable, however WMO considers it essential that the emergence of AI does not widen the technological gap. Recognizing the importance of advancing AI, WMO has convened major conferences throughout the past year, which brought together diverse stakeholders to discuss the future of AI in Earth system sciences. The outcomes from these conferences were discussed during the Extraordinary Congress, and a strategic direction in this rapidly evolving field was explored.
