#MotorcycleAwarenessMonth might be wrapping up tomorrow, but safety doesn't.
50 riders have lost their life this year and with the weather starting to get better (kind of), more riders are expected out on the roads.
Safety's a two-way street, and it goes both ways for riders and drivers.
If you’re a rider ⬇️
🏍️ Wear good quality safety gear - Helmet, jacket, gloves, pants and boots.
🏍️ Follow lane filtering and lane splitting rules.
🏍️ Position yourself to be seen.
🏍️ Check for blind spots. If you can’t see their mirrors, they can’t see you.
🏍️ Indicate your intention to turn or change lanes well in advance.
If you're a driver ⬇️
🚗Indicate your intention to turn or change lanes well in advance.
🚗 Use mirrors and head check to make sure blind spots are clear when changing lanes.
🚗 Give motorcyclists enough room to manoeuvre.
🚗 Make eye contact with riders, so they know they've been seen.
Advanced driver training for riders and drivers is always a goo...
